Torah:
[Arrival at Mount Sinai]
19:1 Bachodesh hashlishi letzet benei-Yisrael me'eretz Mitzrayim bayom hazeh ba'u midbar Sinai.
In the third month after the children of Yisrael had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.
2 Vayis'u meRfidim vayavo'u midbar Sinai vayachanu bamidbar vayichan-sham Yisrael neged hahar.
For they had departed from Refidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Yisrael camped there before the mountain.
3 UMoshe alah el-ha'Elokim vayikra elav HASHEM min-hahar lemor koh tomar leveit-Yaakov vetageid livnei Yisrael.
And Moshe went up to G-d, and HASHEM called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Yaakov, and tell the children of Yisrael:
4 Atem re'item asher asiti le-Mitzrayim va'esa etchem al-kanfeI nesharim va'avi etchem elai.
'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.
5 Ve'atah im-shamoa tishme'u bekoli ushmartem et-briti viheyitem li sgulah mikol-ha'amim ki-li kol-ha'aretz.
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
6 Ve'atem tiheyu-li mamlechet kohanim vegoy kadosh eleh hadevarim asher tedaber el-benei Yisrael.
And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Yisrael."
7 Vayavo Moshe vayikra leziknei ha'am vayasem lifneihem et kol-hadevarim ha'eleh asher tzivahu HASHEM.
So Moshe came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which HASHEM commanded him.
8 Vaya'anu chol-ha'am yachdav vayomeru kol asher-diber HASHEM na'aseh vayashev Moshe et-divrei ha'am el-HASHEM.
Then all the people answered together and said, "All that HASHEM has spoken we will do." So Moshe brought back the words of the people to HASHEM.
9 Vayomer HASHEM el-Moshe hineh anochi ba eleicha be'av he'anan ba'avur yishma ha'am bedabri imach vegam-becha ya'aminu le'olam vayaged Moshe et-divrei ha'am el-HASHEM.
And HASHEM said to Moshe, "Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever." So Moshe told the words of the people to HASHEM.
10 Vayomer HASHEM el-Moshe lech el-ha'am vekidashtam hayom umachar vechibesu simlotam.
Then HASHEM said to Moshe, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.
11 Vehayu nechonim layom hashlishi ki bayom hashlishi yered HASHEM le'einei chol-ha'am al-har Sinai.
And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day HASHEM will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
12 Vehigbalta et-ha'am saviv lemor hishamru lachem alot bahar unegoa bekatzehu kol-hanogea bahar mot yumat.
You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, 'Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.
13 Lo-tiga bo yad ki-sakol yisakel o-yaroh yiyareh im-behemah im-ish lo yichyeh bimshoch hayovel hemah ya'alu vahar.
Not a hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.' When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come near the mountain."
14 Vayered Moshe min-hahar el-ha'am vayekadesh et-ha'am vayechabsu simlotam.
So Moshe went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
15 Vayomer el-ha'am heyu nechonim lishloshet yamim al-tigshu el-ishah.
And he said to the people, "Be ready for the third day; do not come near your wives."
16 Vayehi vayom hashlishi biheyot haboker vayehi kolot uvrakim ve'anan kaved al-hahar vekol shofar chazak me'od vayecherad kol-ha'am asher bamachaneh.
Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunder and lightning, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.
17 Vayotze Moshe et-ha'am likrat ha'Elokim min-hamachaneh vayityatzvu betachtit hahar.
And Moshe brought the people out of the camp to meet with G-d, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
18 Vehar Sinai ashan kulo mipenei asher yarad alav HASHEM ba'esh vaya'al ashano ke'eshen hakivshan vayecherad kol-hahar me'od.
Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because HASHEM descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.
19 Vayehi kol hashofar holech vechazek me'od Moshe yedaber veha'Elokim ya'anenu vekol.
And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moshe spoke, and G-d answered him by voice.

20 Vayered HASHEM al-har Sinai el-rosh hahar vayikra HASHEM le-Moshe el-rosh hahar vaya'al Moshe.
Then HASHEM came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And HASHEM called Moshe to the top of the mountain, and Moshe went up.
21 Vayomer HASHEM el-Moshe red ha'ed ba'am pen-yehersu el-HASHEM lir'ot venafal mimenu rav.
And HASHEM said to Moshe, "Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at HASHEM, and many of them perish.
22 Vegam hakohanim hanigashim el-HASHEM yitkadashu pen-yifrotz bahem HASHEM.
Also let the priests who come near HASHEM consecrate themselves, lest HASHEM break out against them."
23 Vayomer Moshe el-HASHEM lo-yuchal ha'am la'alot el-har Sinai ki-atah ha'edotah banu lemor hagbel et-hahar vekidashto.
But Moshe said to HASHEM, "The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, 'Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.'"
24 Vayomer elav HASHEM lech-red ve'alita atah ve'Aharon imach vehakohanim veha'am al-yehersu la'alot el-HASHEM pen-yifrotz-bam.
Then HASHEM said to him, "Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aharon with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to HASHEM, lest He break out against them."
25 Vayered Moshe el-ha'am vayomer alehem.
So Moshe went down to the people and spoke to them..
[The Ten Mitzvot]
20:1 Vayedaber Elokim et kol-hadevarim ha'eleh lemor.
And G-d spoke all these words, saying:
2 Anochi HASHEM Elokeicha asher hotseticha me'eretz Mitzrayim mibeit avadim.
"I am HASHEM your G-d, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Lo yihyeh lecha elohim acherim al-panai.
You shall have no other god before Me.
4 Lo ta'aseh-lecha fesel vechol-temunah asher bashamayim mima'al va'asher ba'aretz mitachat va'asher bamayim mitachat la'aretz.
You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 Lo-tishtachaveh lahem velo ta'ovdem ki anochi HASHEM Elokeicha El kana poked avon avot al-banim al-shileshim ve'al-ribe'im leson'ai.
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, HASHEM your G-d, am a jealous G-d, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 Ve'oseh chesed la'alafim le'ohavaI uleshomreI mitzvotaI.
but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 Lo tisa et-shem-HASHEM Elokeicha lashav ki lo yenakeh HASHEM et asher-yisa et-shmo lashav.
You shall not take the name of HASHEM your G-d in vain, for HASHEM will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 Zachor et-yom haShabbat lekadsho.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Sheshet yamim ta'avod ve'asita chol-melachtecha.
Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 Veyom hashvi'i Shabbat l'HASHEM Elokeicha lo ta'aseh chol-melachah atah uvincha-uvitecha avdecha va'amatcha uvehemtecha vegercha asher bish'areicha.
but the seventh day is the Sabbath of HASHEM your G-d. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
11 Ki sheshet-yamim asah HASHEM et-hashamayim ve'et-ha'aretz et-hayam ve'et-kol-asher-bam vayanach bayom hashvi'i al-ken berach HASHEM et-yom haShabbat vayekadeshehu.
For in six days HASHEM made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore HASHEM blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 Kaved et-avicha ve'et-imecha lema'an ya'arichun yameycha al ha'adamah asher-HASHEM Elokeicha noten lach.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which HASHEM your G-d is giving you.
13 Lo tirtzach. Lo tin'af. Lo tignov. Lo-ta'aneh vere'acha ed shaker.
You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
14 Lo tachmod beit re'echa. Lo tachmod eshet re'echa ve'avdo va'amato veshoro vachamoro vechol asher lere'echa.
You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."
15 Vechol-ha'am ro'im et-hakolot ve'et-halapidim ve'et kol hashofar ve'et-hahar ashen vayar ha'am vayanu'u vaya'amdu merachok.
Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
16 Vayomru el-Moshe daber-atah imanu venishma'ah ve'al-yedaber imanu Elokim pen-namut.
Then they said to Moshe, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not G-d speak with us, lest we die."
17 Vayomer Moshe el-ha'am al-tira'u ki leva'avur nasot etchem ba ha'Elokim uva'avur tiheyeh yir'ato al-pneichem levilti techeta'u.
And Moshe said to the people, "Do not fear; for G-d has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin."
18 Vaya'amod ha'am merachok uMoshe nigash el-ha'arafel asher-sham ha'Elokim.
So the people stood afar off, but Moshe drew near the thick darkness where G-d was.
19 Vayomer HASHEM el-Moshe koh tomar el-benei Yisrael atem re'item ki min-hashamayim dibarti imachem.
Then HASHEM said to Moshe, "Thus you shall say to the children of Yisrael: 'You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
20 Lo ta'asun iti elohei chesef ve'elohei zahav lo ta'asu lachem.
You shall not make anything to be with Me--gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
21 Mizbach adamah ta'aseh-li vezavachta alav et-oloteicha ve'et-shlameicha et-tzoncha ve'et-bekarecha bechol-hamakom asher azkir et-shmi avo eleicha uverachticha.
An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you.
22 Ve'im-mizbach avanim ta'aseh-li lo-tivneh ethen gazit ki charbecha henafta aleiha vatechaleleha.
And if you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone; for if you use your tool on it, you have profaned it.
23 Velo-ta'aleh vema'alot al-mizbechi asher lo-tigaleh ervatcha alav.
Nor shall you go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed on it.'

Haftarah Shavuot - First Day
Yechezkel 1:1 - 1:28 ; 3:12
~Maftir BaMidbar 28:26 - 28:31~
1:1 Vayehi bishloshim shanah barevi'i bachamishah lachodesh va'ani
vetoch hagolah al-nehar-Kvar niftechu hashamayim va'er'eh mar'ot
Elokim.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth
day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Kvar, that the
heavens were opened and I saw visions of G-d.
2 Bachamishah lachodesh hi hashanah hachamishit legalut hamelech
Yoyachin.
On the fifth day of the month, which was in the fifth year of King
Yoyachin's captivity,
3 Hayoh hayah dvar-HASHEM el-Yechezk'l ben-Buzi hakohen be'eretz
Kasdim al-nehar-Kvar vatehi alav sham yad-HASHEM.
the word of HASHEM came expressly to Yechezkel the priest, the son of
Buzi, in the land of the Kasdim by the River Kvar; and the hand of
HASHEM was upon him there.
4 Va'ere vehineh ruach se'arah ba'ah min-hatsafon anan gadol ve'esh
mitlakachat venogah lo saviv umitochah ke'ein hachashmal mitoch ha'esh.
Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a
great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around
it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of
the fire.
5 Umitochah demut arba chayot vezeh mar'eihen demut adam lahenah.
Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was
their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.
6 Ve'arba'ah fanim le'echad ve'arba kenafayim le'achat lahem.
Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
7 Veragleihem regel yesharah vechaf ragleihem kechaf regel egel
venotsetzim ke'ein nechoshet kalal.
Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of
calves' feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze.
8 Videi adam mitachat kanfeihem al arba'at riv'eihem ufeneihem
vechanfeihem le'arbatam.
The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each
of the four had faces and wings.
9 Chovrot ishah el-achotah kanfeihem lo-yisabu velechtan ish el-ever
panav yelechu.
Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they
went, but each one went straight forward.
10 Udmu peneihem penei adam ufenei aryeh el-hayamin le'arbatam
ufenei-shor mehasmol le'arbatan ufnei-nesher le'arbatan.
As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the
four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face
of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.
11 Ufneihem vechanfeihem perudot milemalah le'ish shtayim chovrot ish
ushtayim mechasot et gviyoteihenah.
Thus were their faces. Their wings stretched upward; two wings of each
one touched one another, and two covered their bodies.
12 Ve'ish el-ever panav yelechu el asher yihyeh-shamah haruach lalechet
yelechu lo yisabu belechtan.
And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted
to go, and they did not turn when they went.
13 Udmut hachayot mar'eihem kegachalei-esh bo'arot kemar'eh halapidim
hi mithalechet bein hachayot venoga la'esh umin-ha'esh yotze varak.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like
burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth
among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went
lightning.
14 Vehachayot ratzo vashov kemar'eh habazak.
And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of
lightning.
15 Va'ere hachayot vehineh ofan echad ba'aretz etzel hachayot le'arba'at
panav.
Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth
beside each living creature with its four faces.
16 Mar'eh ha'ofanim uma'aseihem ke'ein tarshish udmut echad le'arbatan
umar'eihem uma'aseihem ka'asher yihyeh ha'ofan betoch ha'ofan.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of
beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their
workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
17 Al-arba'at riv'eihen belechtam yelechu lo yisabu belechtan.
When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did
not turn aside when they went.
18 Vegabeihen vegovah lahem veyir'ah lahem vegabotam mele'ot einayim
saviv le'arbatan.
As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims
were full of eyes, all around the four of them.
19 Uvelechet hachayot yelchu ha'ofanim etzlam uvehinase hachayot me'al
ha'aretz yinas'u ha'ofanim.
When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when
the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted
up.
20 Al asher yihyeh-sham haruach lalechet yelechu shamah haruach lalechet veha'ofanim yinas'u le'umatam ki ruach hachayah ba'ofanim.
Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted
together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 Belechtam yelechu uve'omdam ya'amodu uvehinas'am me'al ha'aretz yinas'u ha'ofanim le'umatam ki ruach hachayah ba'ofanim.
When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 Udmu al-rashei hachayah rakia ke'ein hakerach hanora natui al-rasheihem milemalah.
The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome
crystal, stretched out over their heads.
23 Vetachat harakia kanfeihem yesharot ishah el-achotah le'ish shtayim mechasot lahenah ule'ish shtayim mechasot lahenah et gviyoteihem.
And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which
covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body.
24 Ve'eshma et-kol kanfeihem kekol mayim rabim kekol-Shaddai belechtam kol hamulah kekol machaneh be'omdam terapeynah chanfeihen.
When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the
Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings.
25 Vayehi-kol me'al larakia asher al-rosham be'omdam terapeinah chanfeihen.
A voice came from above the firmament that was over their heads; whenever they stood, they let down their wings.
26 Umima'al larakia asher al-rosham kemar'eh even-sapir demut kise ve'al demut hakise demut kemar'eh adam alav milemalah.
And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire
stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it.
27 Va'ere ke'ein chashmal kemar'eh-esh beit-lah saviv mimar'eh motnav ulemalah umimar'eh motnav ulematah ra'iti kemar'eh-esh venoga lo saviv.
Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the
appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it
were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.
28 Kemar'eh hakeshet asher yihyeh ve'anan beyom hageshem ken mar'eh hanoga saviv hu mar'eh demut kevod- HASHEM va'er'eh va'epol al-panai va'eshma kol medaber.
28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of HASHEM. So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.
3:12 Vatisa'eni ruach va'eshma acharai kol ra'ash gadol baruch kevod-HASHEM mimkomo.
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: "Blessed is the glory of
HASHEM from His place!"

Deuteronomy 15:19 ¶ All the firstling males that are born of thy herd and of thy flock
thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God; thou shalt do no work with the
firstling of thine ox, nor shear the firstling of thy flock.
20 Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place
which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
21 And if there be any blemish therein, lameness, or blindness, any ill
blemish whatsoever, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates; the unclean and the clean may eat it
alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.
23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it out upon
the ground as water.
CHAPTER 16
1 ¶ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God;
for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt
by night.
2 And thou shalt sacrifice the passover-offering unto the LORD thy God, of
the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to cause
His name to dwell there.
3 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat
unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for in haste
didst thou come forth out of the land of Egypt; that thou mayest remember
the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy
life.
4 And there shall be no leaven seen with thee in all they borders seven
days; neither shall any of the flesh, which thou sacrificest the first day
at even, remain all night until the morning.
5 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover-offering within any of thy gates,
which the LORD thy God giveth thee;
6 but at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause His name to
dwell in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover-offering at even, at the
going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall
choose; and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
8 Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be
a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God; thou shalt do no work therein.
9 Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee; from the time the sickle is
first put to the standing corn shalt thou begin to number seven weeks.
10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God after the
measure of the freewill-offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give,
according as the LORD thy God blesseth thee.
11 And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and
thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite
that is within they gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the
widow, that are in the midst of thee, in the place which the LORD thy God
shall choose to cause His name to dwell there.
12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt; and thou
shalt observe and do these statutes.
13 Thou shalt keep the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou
hast gathered in from thy threshing-floor and from thy winepress.
14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy
daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and
the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
15 Seven days shalt thou keep a feast unto the LORD thy God in the place
which the LORD shall choose; because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in
all thine increase, and in all the work of thy hands, and thou shalt be
altogether joyful.
16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God
in the place which He shall choose; on the feast of unleavened bread, and
on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of tabernacles; and they shall not
appear before the LORD empty;
17 every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the
LORD thy God which He hath given thee.

2:20 Va'HASHEM beheichal kodsho has mipanav kol-ha'aretz.
But HASHEM is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him."
3:1 Tfilah la-Chavakuk hanavi al-Shigyonot.
A prayer of Chavakuk the prophet, on Shigyonot.
2 HASHEM shamati shim'acha yareti HASHEM pa'alecha bekerev shanim chayehu bekerev shanim todia
berogez rachem tizkor.
O HASHEM, I have heard your speech and was afraid; O HASHEM, revive Your work in the midst of the
years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 Elokai miTeiman yavo vekadosh mehar-Paran sela kisah shamayim hodo utehilato mal'ah ha'aretz.
G-d came from Teiman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, and the
earth was full of His praise.
4 Venogah ka'or tihyeh karnayim miyado lo vesham chevyon uzoh.
His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden.
5 Lefanav yelech davar veyetze reshef leraglav.
Before Him went pestilence, and fever followed at His feet.
6 Amad vayemoded eretz ra'ah vayater goyim vayitpotsetzu harerei-ad shachu give'ot olam halichot olam lo.
He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.
7 Tachat aven ra'iti aholei Kushan yirgezun yeri'ot eretz Midyan.
I saw the tents of Kushan in affliction; the curtains of the land of Midyan trembled.
8 Havinharim charah HASHEM im banharim apecha im-bayam evratecha ki tirkav al-suseicha markevoteycha yeshu'ah.
O HASHEM, were You displeased with the rivers, was Your anger against the rivers, was Your wrath
against the sea, that You rode on Your horses, Your chariots of salvation?
9 Eryah te'or kashtecha shevuot matot omer selah neharot tevaka-aretz.
Your bow was made quite ready; oaths were sworn over Your arrows. Selah You divided the earth with
rivers.
10 Ra'ucha yachilu harim zerem mayim avar natan tehom kolo rom yadeihu nasa.
The mountains saw You and trembled; the overflowing of the water passed by. The deep uttered its voice, and lifted its hands on high.
11 Shemesh yare'ach amad zevulah le'or chitzeicha yehalechu lenogah berak chanitecha.
The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; at the light of Your arrows they went, at the shining of
Your glittering spear.
12 Beza'am titz'ad-aretz be'af tadush goyim.
You marched through the land in indignation; You trampled the nations in anger.
13 Yatzata leyesha amecha leyesha et-meshichecha machatzta rosh mibeit rasha arot yesod ad-tzavar selah.
You went forth for the salvation of Your people, for salvation with Your Anointed. You struck the head from the house of the wicked, by laying bare from foundation to neck. Selah
14 Nakavta vematav rosh peraziv yis'aru lahafitseni alitzutam kemo-le'echol ani bamistar.
You thrust through with his own arrows the head of his villages. They came out like a whirlwind to scatter me; their rejoicing was like feasting on the poor in secret.
15 Darachta vayam suseicha chomer mayim rabim.
You walked through the sea with Your horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 Shamati vatirgaz bitni lekol tzalelu sfatai yavo rakav ba'atsamai vetachtay ergaz asher anuach leyom tzarah la'alot le'am yegudenu.
When I heard, my body trembled; my lips quivered at the voice; rottenness entered my bones; and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble. When he comes up to the people, He will invade them with his troops.
17 Ki-te'enah lo-tifrach ve'ein yevul bagefanim kichesh ma'aseh-zayit ushdemot lo-asah ochel gazar mimichlah tzon ve'eyn bakar barfatim.
Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls--
18 Va'ani ba'HASHEM e'elozah agilah be'Elokei yish'i.
Yet I will rejoice in HASHEM, I will joy in the G-d of my salvation.
19 HASHEM adonai cheyli vayasem raglay ka'ayalot ve'al-bamotai yadricheni lamenatze'ach binginotai.
HASHEM, the Master is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.
