Beit Torah Passover Seder to reflect on our freedom
Special to the Courier

Beit Torah Jewish Congregation will hold its Community Passover Seder 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the GPUUC social hall, 882 Sunset Ave., in Prescott.
Pesach (Passover) is a time to remember escape from the punishing plagues that Egypt experienced and our exodus from bondage in Egypt about 3,500 years ago. It also reminds us that no matter where we are, we need to cherish the freedoms we have, particularly the freedom of religion we enjoy in this country. At the same time, we are mindful of the many in the world whom do not have these freedoms and who need help to achieve freedom from oppressive circumstances.
These are the lessons of Passover that the congregation members will be thinking of as they share the story of the Exodus from Egypt, good camaraderie, high spirits, wonderful food, and songs of the season.
For those who observe the Fast of the Firstborn, Beit Torah is hosting a brief study session and breakfast in Chino Valley at 9:30 am on Monday, April 18. Additionally in Chino Valley, Beit Torah will hold morning Passover study brunches at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 19, Wednesday, April 20, Shabbat/Saturday, April 23, and Monday, April 25. Arrangements for a Memorial Service (Yiskor) and study session on Tuesday, April 26, are underway.
All are welcome to join the Passover celebrations and observances. To RSVP, call 237-0390. Visit www.onetorah.org for more information.
